Manju Gupta did a great job. My students write a reflection essay following each of the lectures they hear from our guest speakers about various religions. I received many positive comments about Manju’s presentation. She was very prepared and organized. The PowerPoint presentation was helpful in providing visuals for what was being discussed. What Speakers Gained from HSB?

Swati Sugandhi (Nov 24, 2020): Being a speaker at HSB has been an extremely enriching experience for me. HSB provides an amazing framework for Hindu speakers to get support and provide support to other speakers, and in finding speaking opportunities. For my recent presentation, HSB helped me in finding an opportunity as a speaker at HWPL (an international peace organization). HSB has speakers with immense knowledge so while I prepared, I bounced off my ideas in the group and got feedback on my practice videos. This helped me present confidently during the final presentation. It was a great experience for me to learn about opinions of other faiths and, also to see them appreciate Hindu thought process. Thank you HSB. I look forward to the partnership for many years to come!”

Mukta Vadera (Dec 8, 2020): About a year ago, while casually browsing through my emails I came across one from San Bruno Temple about a meeting that was to take place that Sunday on how to become an ambassador for Hindu religion. Out of curiosity, I decided to go and see what it was all about. Hosted by HSB, this meeting was about how one could become a speaker and go on speaking assignments to various churches, schools and other venues giving talks and presentations about Hinduism. Not too fond of being in front of people in any kind of public speaking role, it was way out of my comfort zone, but for some reason I decided to give it a try. I am so glad that I did. HSB is an excellent showcase to gain knowledge and experience on how to confidently present factual information about Hinduism to the world. It is a great way to share information that brings people and communities together, i.e. educate people about your faith and in the process get to learn about theirs. Thank you HSB for bringing awareness and spreading information and knowledge about our great religion.

Dakshata Talekar said, “At HSB, one doesn’t have to be a professional speaker. The supportive peers at HSB help you prepare for your topic and provide all the mentoring you need.
